Track Surface: old coach road part is wide and flat easy walking; rest of the track is
reasonably good, quite a lot of tree roots in places
Hazards:
- Steep drop off
to the river in some parts but at closest still 1-2m from the track
- River
- Some trees down over
the track but easy to go over or around
Suitable for: Old coach road part is suitable for prams and you could
go up to the end of that part and back (go to the left at the start) probably about a quarter of the total track. The rest
of it isn't suitable for prams. Due to the number of tree roots to navigate baby wearing on your front could be a bit
tricky.
Dogs: Not allowed

Can be quite muddy after heavy rains
- Can combine with the Gilchrist loop to make a longer walk but this is
currently quite overgrown with a lot of windfall.
- Note google map is the approximate location of the fern walk. The Pettifar
and Gilchrist loops are a few km down the road on the left hand side.
